Look up, look down, they’re all around … Long Island!
Puppets Take Long Island brings eight weeks of exciting performances, workshops and special events to popular venues across Long Island. The family-friendly series will showcase puppetry in all its forms—from giant puppets and marionettes to rod and shadow puppets. Hosted by Long Island Children’s Museum and Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre, the Festival presents a rotating schedule of touring puppeteers and troupes from across the US and Europe to area audiences to experience the diversity, innovation and artistry in this fascinating performance style.
Puppets Take Long Island is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
